Testimonials from Our Graduates

Michael

I once struggled with deep insecurities, feeling like I never measured up to the expectations of others or myself. Seeking purpose and a sense of worth, I joined the Air Force as a pararescueman, hoping to make a difference. While I took pride in my service, the trauma I witnessed in combat left scars that went far beyond the battlefield. Despite coming home physically, my mind and heart remained trapped in the horrors I had experienced.

In silence, I battled PTSD and shame, eventually turning to heroin as a means of escape. My life spiraled into a painful cycle of addiction, and I lost sight of the man I once wanted to be. But through it all, I believe God never abandoned me. My turning point came when I walked into 180 Ministries, a place where they saw my potential, not just my mistakes. There, I began to recover from addiction and rediscovered my faith in God, learning that I was more than my trauma and failures.

Through my healing journey, I realized that my pain could be used for a greater purpose. God showed me that my scars were not something to hide but a testament to His grace. Now, I help women in recovery, using my own story as proof that transformation is possible. My life has purpose, and I lead with love, compassion, and faith, knowing that no matter how far we fall, God’s love can lift us back up.

Michelle

Michelle came to us after years of addiction and homelessness, feeling estranged from her children and family, and exhausted from her struggles. Yet, she found the courage to reach out for help, seeking life and hope.

Today, as a graduate of our program and a participant in our reentry initiative, Michelle is thriving. She has embraced sobriety, built a personal relationship with Jesus, and is gainfully employed. Most importantly, she has reunited with her children and family. Now, she dedicates her time to helping other women who are on similar journeys, working shifts with us and engaging in street and prison evangelism. Michelle is walking in her purpose as a daughter of the King, turning her pain into a powerful testimony!

Shasta

Shasta came into the program in October of 2023. Her children had been in foster care and adoption was pending. Two months after she arrived, the children were placed back with her temporarily. On April 1, 2024, she was granted permanent custody of her two boys! Today, she found out all of her probation, fines and charges have been dropped! Look what the Lord has done! We are rejoicing!

Psalm 105:1-2- “Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works!”
