About 180 Ministries for Girls
Our residential recovery program offers at-risk girls the opportunity to live, learn and heal within a structured and supportive environment where they can experience the unconditional love of God and the transforming power of the gospel. We are staffed by a team of compassionate, Christian leaders who are specially trained and dedicated to working with girls, ages 12 to 17, who are in danger of making decisions that will have lifelong destructive consequences for themselves and their families. It is our goal to guide young girls toward discovering their true identity in Christ and fulfilling their God-given destiny and purpose. Our home and school are located on a quiet, five-acre property in rural Utah that includes an apple orchard; cherry, apricot, walnut, and peach trees; chickens; horses; pigs; ducks; and a large greenhouse.
How does the program work?
Our 15-month program is designed to address a variety of high-risk behaviors, such as rebellion, defiance, lying, manipulation, stealing, promiscuity, self-harm, running away, poor peer choices and failure to progress in a traditional school setting. We provide accredited academics, daily devotionals, life-skills training and activities, individual mentoring, and a Bible-based discipleship curriculum developed by Teen Challenge, which teach girls how to replace bad attitudes with healthy choices and positive thinking. We encourage them to believe that embracing Christian principles will not only enable them to conquer the problems they have encountered but will bring them to a place of lasting freedom and victory. Our commitment to helping girls break the destructive patterns in their lives has recently been expanded to include a specialized program of aftercare resources that promote ongoing healing, character development and leadership as they reintegrate into their schools, families and communities.
